                                               RANGELINE CONSERVATION CLUB RULES (NOTE BOLD PRINT ITEMS)

LOCATION: 2.5 miles west of Jct. 63 and 163, then ½ mile south on CR 00 (Rangeline Rd.)

GENERAL RULES FOR GROUNDS & WATERS

Be Aware! These rules do not address every possible contingence: Common Sense must guide every action. Unless otherwise stated in these rules, the regulations of the Department of Natural Resources shall apply. 

  • Age for club membership is 18 and over. The member’s families, in same household, may enjoy same privileges as members with member on property. A member’s family consist of second adult and/or unmarried children 18 and under. This applies to grandchildren when accompanied by a grandparent. Membership card holder must be on property with family. 

  • Rangeline Conservation Club grounds, waters and buildings are for use of members, families and their guest only. Member must have membership card in possession when on club property. Membership card or permits must be presented, without question upon request by any member. All members have the right to request to see membership card. Refusal to show card will be regarded as not being a memberand your removal from club grounds may be by local law enforcement. Lending of gate key and /or club house key to non-members is prohibited.

  •  The clubhouse or shelter may be rented by member or non-member (check with rental chairman). Renters of the clubhouse have exclusive rights to the clubhouse. Members can use restrooms when there is rental but leave ASAP.

  • Guest card allows member to have one (1) guest (and family) per time. Only one (1) guest pass per member. Member is responsible for guests. Guest pass must be in members possession.

  • No vehicles or bikes of any kind allowed off existing roads except when using designated bike trail or maintenance equipment.

  • ABSOLUTELY NO SWIMMING OR WADING IN ANY CLUB WATERS. THIS INCLUDES ALL MEMBERS!! SCUBA DIVING ALSO PROHIBITED. ALL CHILDREN 12 and UNDER MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY ADULT WHEN AROUND RANGELINE CONSERVATION CLUB WATERS. NO WATER BOARDS.

  • Entrance gates must be LOCKED AT ALL TIMES, unless there is a club function or the clubhouse is rented.

  • All animals (unless hunting with dogs) are to be restrained on a leash no longer than 10 feet in length at all times. All animals are prohibited from the clubhouse.  No animals at the picnic shelter. All pet owners must clean up waste after their pets. Service animals are an exception as long as Board permit is shown. No animals left unattended at campsites. 

  • Reconsider, don’t litter. ALL TRASH MUST BE PLACED IN DUMPSTER or COVERED CONTAINER or TAKEN WITH YOU.

  • When Board of Director and Membership meeting is being held, all members are strongly urged to attend the meetings. No smoking in clubhouse.

 

HUNTING, FISHING AND BOATING

  • No gasoline motors to be used on any Rangeline Conservation Club waters.

  • Bass 15” to 20” - catch and release only. Limit of three (3) bass per person.

  • 10”and over on all crappie. Daily limit of ten (10) crappie per person.

  • Blue gill limit twenty-five (25) per person.

  • No goldfish or carp minnows allowed.

  • Fishing only with rod and reel allowed (includes cane poles). Limit of three (3) poles per member. DROP LINES, JUG & NET ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED!! No unattended poles allowed. This includes dock and/or bank fishing.

  • Clean all fish at cleaning table on floating dock at Lake Marie. Dispose of fish in lake. Do not dispose of fish or animal waste in dumpster or trash barrels.

  • All boats left on club property must have owners name legibly (2") put on both sides and be able to be seen while in the water. Membership number must be legibly on boat. Boat registration MUST be turned in to Membership Chair. Members MUST COMPLY TO RULES OR BOATS WILL BE SUBJECT TO REMOVAL AND A $25 REMOVAL FEE WILL BE CHARGED, BOATS CAN BE RECLAIMED WITHIN 30 DAYS AND AFTER 30 DAYS BOATS CAN BE PUT UP FOR SALE. 

  • Club IS NOT responsible for any boats or equipment left on property. MEMBER LEAVING BOAT ON PROPERTY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING AREA AROUND THEIR BOAT.

  • NO PONTOON OR BOAT CAN BE MOORED IN WATER WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM THE BOARD. THIS PERMISSION IS TO BE OBTAINED EACH YEAR.

  • NO PARKING OF BOATS OR PONTOONS ON TRAILERS EXCEPT WHILE CAMPING ON PROPERTIES OR WITH BOARD'S PERMISSION.  

  • No boats to be parked between boat ramp and middle dock at Lake Marie OR CLOSE to boat ramp at any other loading spot. Be sure loading dock is clear for all to load or unload boats.

  • Hunters must sign-up with Hunter Chair and obey all rules given. Deer and Turkey hunters need to check for special rules. No Hunting within 200 yards of any campground. 

  • ​

CAMPING

  • Camping allowed East of clubhouse. Camping prohibited South of entrance road and within twenty (20) feet of the picnic shelter. Non-electric camping East of picnic shelter at designated sites.

  • No vehicles to be parked at electrical campsites unless special permission given by board. All vehicles including boat and trailer are to be parked South of entrance roads or in designated parking areas. One (1) vehicle may be parked at non-electrical camp sites.

  • When club rented, electric campers are allowed to park at campsite until rental is over. Move vehicle after rental. Remember renters of clubhouse have exclusive right to the clubhouse. 

  • Capps Lake camping is in designated areas ONLY. No camping on roads.

  • Campsites are on first come first served basis. Permits must be displayed at all times. 

  • No fires outside of the fire rings. Outside cooking with gas/charcoal grills is allowed. Nails are to be removed from all wood before wood is brought on club grounds to burn. Put out fires and clean fire rings when breaking camp. ASH PIT is provided by barn on frontside of property. Wheelbarrow and shovel provided. Trash pickup is on Mondays at 6 a.m.

  • Seven (7) consecutive days maximum camping allowed, unless a written request has been presented to the Board of Directors and special permission has been granted for up to seven (7) days extension. Only one (1) holiday extension per year.

  • All camping equipment must be removed from club grounds for a minimum of three (3) days between all camping times.

 

SHOOTING RANGE

$20 GUN RANGE PERMIT BEGINNING YEAR 2023

 

SAFETY IS THE NUMBER 1 PRIORITY. ANSI SAFETY GLASSES AND APPROVED GLASSES AND HEARING PROTECTION ARE REQUIRED. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOURSELF AND OTHERS AROUND YOU. IF YOU DON’T FEEL COMFORTABLE, LEAVE THE AREA AND CALL A BOARD MEMBER OR 911.

  • No shooting on club grounds except at shooting range at targets at 15 yd., 50 yd., 100 yd., and for Club sponsored shoots. When hunting in season, hunter must follow rules and sign-up with hunting chair.

  • Shoot only from the shack behind the firing line. No targets are to be allowed over four (4) feet above ground.

  • No shotguns or automatic weapons.

  • NO GLASS, CLAY TARGETS or TANNERITE .

  • ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL allowed on shooting range.

  • All weapons must be unloaded, breach open and pointed in safe direction when anyone is downrange.

  • Children at or near the gun range must be monitored closely.

  • Suggest stapling cardboard (shooter supplied) to wood target stands and staple target to cardboard backing. The cardboard back can be used for many targets. Practice good marksmanship. Shoot target, not the target stand.

  • Spinning targets are for pistol and rimfire rifle only. 10 YARD MINIMUM PISTOL. 25 YARD MINIMUM FOR RIM FIRE RIFLE. Gong targets at 50 yards for smaller caliber center fire and rim fire rifle. Predator silhouette steel target is good for larger calibers at 100 yards. No armor piercing, steel core, or green tip rounds. No ammo greater than 3000 fps on steel targets. Do not shoot target stands. Members are expected to reimburse the club for careless and malicious damages.

  • CAUTION!!! RICOCHET RISK! No BB or Pellet Guns on steel targets. Steel target face must be smooth. Pitted targets must be taken out of service. ANSI rated safety glasses are required for shooters and spectators.

  • Please clean shooting area when done. This is a volunteer club; no one is paid to clean up. Carry out everything that you carry in including targets, casings and shot-up wood. There is a container for trash beside the porta toilet in the parking lot. Police area for items others may have missed.

  • Wash hands after shooting and handling targets.

YOUR MEMBERSHIP PROVIDES A PLACE FOR MEMBERS AND GUEST TO PRACTICE MARKSMANSHIP. EXERCISE THIS PRIVILEGE SAFELY AND AT YOUR OWN RISK.

 

WALKING TRAILS

  • No littering. If you pack it in, pack it out.

  • Trail walkers are REQUIRED to wear hunter orange during hunting season.

  • No vehicles or bikes or any kind on any walking trail except for maintenance.

 

ANY MEMBER/MEMBER’S GUEST FOUND VIOLATING ANY OF THESE RULES MAY HAVE MEMBERSHIP CANCELED!!!

 

THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS INTERPETS AND ENFORCES ALL RULES.
